Every cookie this site can place, what it does and how long it lasts. The list is drawn from the code, so it is exhaustive.

These make the site work. They carry no identifier that would let anyone follow you elsewhere, which is why they do not require your consent.
| Cookie | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Keeps you logged in and holds your cart | Until you close the browser |

mdl_ref | Credits the author who referred you | 30 days |
mdl_vu | Remembers a notice you have already dismissed | 1 year |

These are not placed until you accept them. If you refuse, they are never written, and the corresponding scripts are never loaded — not merely blocked afterwards.
Your card number, its expiry date and its security code never reach our servers. They are entered on Stripe’s payment page and stay with Stripe. We only receive a payment reference and its status.
Use the “Cookies” link at the bottom of any page to reopen the panel and change your answer. You can also delete the cookies from your browser settings; the site will simply ask again.
